Mission Statement: The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the California Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (CANA) is dedicated to cultivating an environment that fosters accessibility, equity, and inclusivity for all member-owners and resident nurse anesthetists. Our mission is to develop and implement strategic approaches that empower and celebrate the diverse voices and experiences within our association. By promoting awareness, education, and advocacy, we strive to create a community where every individual feels valued, respected, and provided with equal opportunities to thrive both personally and professionally. Through collaboration and ongoing dialogue, we aspire to transform CANA into a model organization that embraces diversity, upholds principles of equity, and exemplifies inclusivity, setting a standard for excellence in the field of nurse anesthesia.
