We’re thrilled to disseminate the results of the California CRNA Workforce Study which was recently conducted in collaboration with CANA and Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia/California State University, Fullerton DNP program. It is the first CRNA workforce study conducted in our state. The survey generated data on the demographics, education, and the practice patterns of CRNAs currently working in CA.

Se Ra Park, SRNA, BSN
Hello! My name is Sera Park. I am currently a senior SRNA student of the Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia Program. I am thrilled to be in the graduating class this year and excited to soon join everyone else as a new graduate CRNA. I grew up and live in SoCal and have a pet brother dog named Cookie. So, if anyone wants to share their pet pictures, I will be your friend! I have been to San Francisco only once, but my friends told me coffee is a must. With that being said, I was also excited and grateful to hear that my group will be able to share our DNP project at this CANA conference. I look forward to seeing everyone!
Hana Yoo, RN, BSN, DNP
Hello! I’m an SRNA currently in the graduating class of Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia. It makes me extremely happy to be able to say, “the end is near!” to my friends and families. I am a mother of three children, and I enjoy eating good food, especially anything Japanese. Northern California is a foreign land to me being a SoCal person, and I am actively seeking good Japanese food spots to explore! Lastly, I am very excited to have the opportunity to share our DNP project on the practice patterns of CRNAs working in rural California.
Haiyun (Muriel) Bertrand, SRNA
Haiyun (Muriel) is a third-year student nurse anesthetist at the Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia. Prior to CRNA school, she worked in the Coronary Care Unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing and exploring restaurants and local coffee shops in Southern California. She is excited to share the results of her group DNP project on rurally practicing CRNAs in California, and is looking forward to joining the CRNA community upon graduation this summer.
