Join us for the California Association of Nurse Anesthesiology’ Virtual Spring Meeting on May 20 – 21, 2023! CANA meetings are an opportunity for you to learn from CRNA experts and peers, while our virtual platform allows you to connect with other California CRNAs, NARs, and our partners to network and communicate through video and text chat.

No travel is required – view the live presentations and interact with other conference attendees and exhibitors from the comfort of your own home!

DAY 1 | Saturday, May 20

In this session, we will look at what steps would need to be taken in order to gain an anesthesia contract from being a staff CRNA, all the way to maintaining an anesthesia services contract.

In this session, we will look at the terms that administrators use in communication and what they mean. The goal is familiarized CRNAs with the business language administrators use to be better prepared to have c-suite conversations that advance CRNA business and CRNA centric staffing models.

DAY 2 | Sunday, May 21

After the morning’s welcome remarks, the CANA Wellness Committee will present on “Work-life Balance and the Prevention of Burnout”, where they will discuss what work-life balance is and how it can prevent the syndrome of burnout. Following the discussion will be a 5-minute breathing meditation.

This session will provide an in depth overview of Army surgical functionality, the role of the Army CRNA in an austere combat environment, discussion of common wartime injury patterns, and daily life on the forward operating base (FOB).

During this session, Dr. Bimpe Adenusi will discuss how to collaborate and plan a successful medical/surgical mission as a CRNA.
