Join us on March 12, 2024, for CANA’s annual Lobby Day! Those who attend will be hearing educational presentations from legislators, CANA’s distinguished lobbyist team, attending scheduled visits at the Capitol, and more.
Grassroots advocacy is vital in raising awareness regarding the issues affecting nurse anesthesiology at the local, state, and federal levels. The purpose of these efforts is so that YOU, advocating on behalf of your profession, can influence public perception, regulations, or public policy such as legislation!
The relationships CANA has forged at the local level and in Sacramento over the years have proved fruitful in preserving your practice in the state of California. Think about it – it is much easier to ask a legislator to take action on a bill when there is already a relationship in place and a familiarity with how CRNAs and NARs serve the community.
The most powerful, memorable connection with a legislator’s office is built when a NAR or CRNA from their home district takes time from their busy schedule to reach out and advocate for our 2024 priorities. Therefore, it is very important for CANA to get a broad representation of CRNAs from across the state attending lobby day.
Take action and advocate for the valuable role nurse anesthetists play in the healthcare system today.
All current members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
10AM – 1PM Visit Preparation & Guest Speakers (Lunch Provided)
1PM – 5PM Legislative Visits at the Capitol
